I see all the young girls with hardly any clothes on and I am (almost) in puffy jackets, certainly warm woolly ones
I did yesterday - and even turned the heating thermostat low so that the heating didn’t come on. I was cold, even wearing layers, last week as my boiler developed a fault and I had to turn it off a couple of weeks ago. It was replaced on Thursday, just in time for the warmer weather!

Ne'er cast a clout 'til May is out
It means don't take off your Winter clothing until the May/Hawthorn blossom is out (or some people think it's until the month of May is over, but you'd melt in Winter clothing in May!)

In my head clout/out is definitely said as *oot* not *owt*.

I have always heard it as clout/out so it rhymes with 'out' at the end
In Scotland it could be 'never cast a cloot till May be oot

Jolly cold start to the day with the chilly wind persisting so well clouted up for my morning outing with Cass.
We went off piste as we like to do and found this lovely spot, so pretty.
I couldn't capture the warmth of the sun and the perfume - from bluebells and hawthorn in the breeze I think.
