What made you smile today?

On our woodland walk this afternoon, meeting a nice couple with a black Lab girl aged 18 months , she was lovely . We stopped to chat, its a good test for Reuben to do " nothing " and to refrain from jumping up ( not bad today but needs work ! ) . I noticed that the lady was carrying a dummy, so asked if they worked their dog to which they replied No, but she loves to retrieve and is excellent at it too . By way of demonstration , she hurled the dummy into the rough without her dog seeing where it landed , and sent her to find it . Reuben had been watching with great interest and followed his new love interest into the rough ground where she was sniffing away like crazy . Guess who found the dummy ? Yep , my lad ! It was fluke I know , but it did make me smile , and he brought it back too ! xx

Sky has been on the three and a half miler this morning. I smiled at her as she came through the door and I am sure she was smiling back 😊! She was so up for going with DH and Red. I was twitchy the whole time they were out as I had to return her home earlier in the week when she wanted to come out with me and Red. Some days she is so peg legged and all she wants to do when out is sniff.

Do you teach a full week then @snowbunny? :) That must be hard work!!
The core business of the ski school is a five-day package of three-hour lessons. There are two sets of these a day, one in the morning (10-1) and the other in the afternoon (1:30-4:30). There are also private lessons which can be anything from two hours to all day.
During half term, they don't have enough full-time instructors to meet the need, because otherwise the work would be spread too thinly the rest of the season, so they pull in any qualified instructors from the locals that they can. So you get people who generally work in bars, restaurants, are retired etc - and even people who come to Andorra from wherever they live specifically to teach this week. Most people who do that end up spending money for the privilege of teaching, because the wages certainly don't cover the cost of flights and accommodation for the week - nowhere near!

A soppy day for me. Chatting to my children about their very special memory gifts for their Dad's significant birthday tomorrow :wasntme: Shopping with Grace to get special black and white professional photo's of David performing when he was 17/18 years old in a band copied and framed. They have all put so much effort in to make it a very special day for him, it just made me really smile a lot xx :inlove:
