I feel like a different person, thanks @HAH. Those last few weeks at my old job were pretty hellish. Maxx is having an absolute ball but I do worry about how he will be when things go back to our normal, much more boring, routine.
Well you deserve it then, I hope it helps you top up reserves. And I’d think of it as doing similar for Maxx, and your relationships with the 3 of you - it’s topping up the good stuff so when you’re all back to reality you’ve got that much closer a bond and more reserves to fall back on. Definitely all to the good! (Also book another holiday as soon as you get back!) :)

I know I a bad person but I nearly lost it completely when a nice you girl pup and her owner were walking along the same path as me and Ro. She looked to he about 10 months a lovely frisky young thing. Me and get owner were just having a chat all very pleasant and lovely. I turned round to see the young pup trying to gobble down a human turd the size of a anaconda,. I told the woman she had an absolute fit,. I walked off quick so Rory didn't get interested. The poor woman was mortified I told her to pretend it never happened. Did make smile that used to be me no more poop eating dogs ever ever again

Just seen the tiniest Chihuahua saying hello to a Hearing Assistance yellow Lab in the hardware store. The Chihuahua's owner was saying to it "now look, this is a proper dog"....then they walked away and the Chihuahua had the biggest bark I've ever heard! It certainly sounded like a Proper Dog.

We may come back to this quote......

What made me smile was seeing our car ! I went on what a call a No cheat walk, in other words , Paul drops me at one point, then drives to another to wait for me , its risky ! Today , I did more hills than I have done in over a year , dogs just running like it was nothing , and me feeling like I needed oxygen ! No way out of it , I plodded on and on and on and on, until at last , the rough trail took me ever closer to where I knew he would be and oh the joy of seeing that car , it was wonderful ! xx

I smiled ( forcibly ) as ate my dinner tonight because I didn't cook it , Paul did and I know he wont mind my saying that it was " interesting " . He declared that I looked tired , so he would cook , a heart sinking moment for me as he is not known for his culinary skills but I accepted graciously . The chicken was cooked ( I made sure of that ! ) but the rest ? Roast potatoes were like bullets , scorched bullets at that and he steamed the veg for just under an hour , the tenderstem broccoli was well wilted . The gravy was like lava , so thick that it stuck to the fork , the stuffing was mixed from a packet but not cooked , but I smiled and have the gaviscon at the ready xx
