We give Harley a quick groom/brush every night when she goes for her night time wee and the brush makes a little mat of fur which I have seen in a few nests.

The passage from my practice room leads into the house opposite our bedroom. When I come out I see Harley and Belli's little faces looking at me. It is adorable.

Enjoying breakfast in the garden in the sunshine. In fact it's SO sunny, I've had to come in to check on MLF - I can't see a screen outside!

Downside, OH has to work for some unknown reason. Just a normal day's work - nothing special. I'm sure they normally get the easter bank holidays off.

It's the middle of April and still getting into the mid/high 20's during the day. Nathan, Ella and I went for a nice walk and then Nath was a big boy and I allowed him to ride his bike around the court while I did gardening.

Going for a walk this afternoon with my nearly 24 year old daughter, she asked if we could take Cassie up to a nearby beauty spot, Water Break IT's Neck waterfall in the Radnor hills. We used to go when she and her brother were small, it was a real adventure then as you had to fight through a jungle to get there! Now the Forestry Commission have opened it up and made paths, but it was so lovely to go there with her and Cassie on a warm spring afternoon. She works so very hard at her job, and still does her Saturday job she had as a student! Her time off is divided between beautiful Rosie, our horse, and supporting her boyfriend on his farm. So it was just grand to have a relaxing time together.
And we had fish and chips afterwards, just like we used too, only this time she fetched them and bought them!

Watching Steve and Maxx swim at the beach today made me smile. I was cursing myself for not wearing my cozzie ad it was 25 degrees and the water was gorgeous. We are just over 5 weeks from winter

Silas came over this morning and Reuben did not jump up !! Did not jump up , did I just write this ? Also after a little ball play , Silas went back over the road and said " Bye Reuben , see you soon " That made me smile a lot x

Twelve months ago today

Keir was much more chilled than Spencer and happy to snooze an the decking. Whenever Spencer is in the garden he plays and plays!

I hope Keir’s enjoying his hearing dog training in Oxford (he’s being dual trained as his new owner is deaf/blind)

Spencer is a very quick learner and excellent round town and at all he’s asked to do. He’s very bomb proof and nothing phases him.

If he doesn’t make it it’ll be because he hates being ‘messed with’ at the vets etc and isn’t too keen on being groomed. It doesn’t make him afraid or anxious, but he wriggles and wriggles. I have known dogs be withdrawn for this reason. But I am working on it.

He does have some dog distraction - but no more than any other pup I’ve met - I think it’d be an odd dog that had no interest in their own species.

Thank the lord! I would not make a very good diabetic, I got worse at doing the injections as the week went on
