Back to the hospital this afternoon for hand therapy. Saw the dreaded wound for the first time. Nothing like I had expected! So neat! Apparently this surgeon is known for her neatness. I was impressed with that, they were impressed with how fast it's healing ( something to do with all that snoozing no doubt). The heavy and cumbersome cast is off and has been replaced by a much lighter version. I have a list of Physio exercises, and have been encouraged to keep up with my walking as far as is comfortable. Half an hour ago I washed my left hand properly for the first time in 12 days! Bliss!

I love this forum! Everyone is so supportive and fun. That made me smile, and so did the very simple pleasure of kicking a ball around in the backyard with the dog, watching him pounce enthusiastically and look so joyful. I'm thoroughly puffed now.
