Spencer woke up with a runny tummy so he’ll be resting up at home with Mr Boogs. It’s not serious, I don’t think, but he’s on scrambled eggs and Oralade today so no hotels for him.

We got back from our break in Rome and picked up Holly from the dogsitter. Holly gave us a great welcome and was promptly taken for a walk, where we had two games of hide and seek and some good water zoomies. All's right with the world.

We're having a sneaky cheeky beer in the house with no upstairs although it's only Thursday. It's to celebrate me being able to tie my own shoelaces again. Smiles all round!

Shadow has started doing this thing where he chivvies J up. What normally happens is that I set out with the dogs on a walk, and J faffs (which is why I gave up waiting for him) and eventually catches us up. Now, Shadow will come out of the gate with us, but then turns and heads back to find J, and comes out with him when he's finished doing whatever it is that absolutely positively MUST BE DONE before he can leave the house. Shadow is super excited for the walk, so I have no idea where this behaviour has come from, but it's really funny and makes me smile. I'm sure he's a whole lot more effective at chasing him up than I would be

Ah, now this behaviour in men becomes worse as they get older unless they have very strict routines. OH started this behaviour some years ago until I convinced him that dogs (not me) need quick reactions and routine in their lives. He now has strict routines that absolutely have to be adhered to or the dogs (not me) will get upset and frustrated.
