Whistle recall

Yesterday DH said that nearly the end of his and Red’s long walk, they met another dog walker at the edge of the field and the two dogs had a play. Suddenly the other person’s dog ran off and Red went running off with her. DH blow his whistle and Red came bounding back. I was so chuffed when he told me that. The other dog apparently ran off home so not good.

That other dog could have been Homer after his escapade on Sunday! He was following another dog and they both were heading further away. Luckily the other dog came back on its owners call and Homer followed the dog back to its owner so I could catch him.

We are definitely increasing Homers recall training and keeping him much closer on walks.
