Just for a bit of fun, what’s the most embarrassing situation your dog(s) have gotten you into, past or present?
I was reminded of one of mine recently when I was at the park with Neo and a young family was trying to teach their child to ride a bike. Neo was ever the gentleman and paid them no notice, however about 10 years ago with my previous girl Billie this was not the case.
We were at the park, mooching around and playing ball. A father and son came in and it was obvious he was teaching him to ride his bike, running after him holding the seat. We were right at the other end of the park so I wasn’t concerned and Billie wasn’t interested in the least. Until the little boy started to get the hang of it and began riding on his own and ringing the bell
There was that moment when she froze in her tracks and I just knew what was going to happen. Sure enough, she took off running towards the boy at full pelt with me shouting after her! In reality, she didn’t actually go anywhere near him and ran round back to me but it was too late, after witnessing the large black dog running towards him the damage was done, the boy started wobbling and inevitably came off. It was on grass so thankfully he wasn’t hurt but I felt terrible and after apologising profusely to the father and son we made a very swift exit, I was mortified!
