Yucky tummy

You had to go with the emergency vets recommendation, just in case it was a blockage. I know it is hard that she has possibly been through this unnecessarily but at the end of the day she will recover and be back to princess Ella soon. I loved that she wanted nothing to do with the paw she puked on. Too gorgeous for words.

That's what I thought but I think she was saying "there's definitely something there" to mean something abnormal was showing on the x-ray not necessarily something there as in a blockage. I don't really know now, I'm just feeling tired, confused and worried.

This is exactly what we had several years ago with Euan. The vet even sent the X-Ray to my husband for confirmation and my husband confirmed there was a blockage. By opening him up she couldn’t find one. It took Euan more then a week to recover. He stayed home with the vet in her own house until he was well again to come home with antibiotics and painkillers

I just called for an update. She's ok but won't eat so they've given her another anti-nausea and a stomach protector to try and help ease the tenderness.
I just wish I could cuddle up with her and make her feel better

Last night, all she wanted to do was curl up on my lap and wouldn't go outside to vomit unless she was sure I was coming with her. I wish I could be with her now or at least explain why I'm not

Thanks for asking. It's 7.45am so I'm just waiting to hear from the vet. Holding for good news and to be able to bring her home the morning.

The only tricky part is that OH is at work so I have Nathan with me. I might have to break the rules and leave him locked in the car, watching something on my phone. (It's cool this morning, so not a "kid locked in hot car" issue). I just don't want to take him in with me because he finds it impossible not to touch everything, I need to concentrate, I think they actually have a 1 person rule at the moment and I've been keeping him out of all shops. But at the same time, I hate the idea if leaving him in the car. It's the silly "little" things like this that I'm finding so challenging to deal with.

Still waiting for the vet to call. I called earlier and left a message with the admin staff but, as it is an emergency vet, the two vets in the practice were busy helping others. I totally understand this but it doesn't help my churning stomach as I wait for the call.

Ok, they've called and she's feeling better and can come home at 1pm. She still won't really eat but they said she's brighter and happier and they think she'll eat more when she's settled back at home with us.

They are also happy to come into the carpark to talk through the hand over so I only have to leave Nathan in the car to run in and pay and actually collect Ella.

They didn't have the final bill ready as they were still adding it up

That is good news that you can pick her up today. Hope she feels better and sure Nathan be fine for 2min. Can one of the nurses keep an eye on him whilst you go in to pay?
Hope it is not huge and you get a shock
