She's home . Tired, sore and looking flat but she was pleased to come home and is now resting on the couch


They said she was still only licking at food in the vet but she was happy to eat from my hand when we got home so hopefully not that she's safe with us, she'll start to recover more.

I'm expecting her to sleep a bit now but Nathan has informed me that he's going watch her to make sure she's ok and will tell me if he sees her trying to lick at her stitches

She's just had another little bit to eat (I hand fed her while she stayed on the couch again) and she looked really perked up and enthusiastic to be eating. It made me feel so happy

I just tried to feed her a little more (the vet said a tiny bit, 4-6 times per day for now) but she didn't want it . Hopefully it's just too close to the last bit

I need to give her all of her tablets before bed but I've never given tablets without food before so I'm starting to panic about what I'll do if she doesn't want to eat in the next hour or so.

Oh, I'm so glad she's home. Great to hear that she has eaten a little bit. Try not to worry that she didn't want the last bit; she'll still be feeling quite icky from the anaesthetic.
Hopefully she'll take the tablet if you slather it in something irresistible - do you have any pate, or cream cheese, or mince, or even butter (Shadow's favourite!)?

Could it be that she is nauseous from the antibiotics? Do you have food that she likes so much she can hardly refuse? If she stays this way I would give the vets a call what to do. Is she drinking?

So pleased she is home. It takes Hunter 2 days to fully recover from the anaesthetic.
Hope she is feeling slightly better now and drinking/eating something. I love it that Nurse Nathan is taking his job very seriously
