What made you smile today?

1) I've finally found my new scent - Pleasures, by Estee Lauder. Smells just like sticking your snoot into the most fragrant of roses.

2) New nail polish - a metallic purple that looks banging.

3) Summer is coming! The days are getting longer! The 6am walk isn't quite so bleak because the sky is starting to lighten and the first birds are chirping by about 610. I cannot wait until it's light enough to finally ditch the footpaths and move onto the track. The day that the sun hits the balcony by my ranch slider is the day that I can finally say "spring is here", and that usually happens in early September. Can't wait!

Cassie just now, I've been out for a few hours, she has had tea given by my daughter and the company of her and my son. After a quick leg stretch outside and me changing into jimjams and dressing gown and pouring glass of wine so I can catch up on MLF, she started playing her game of hide the golfball, find the golfball. It's very noisy, and usually means I have to get up and get said golfball out from under the furniture! But not tonight, she must have taken pity on me, and after 5 minutes of dragging her sitting room bed about, which incorporated lifting it up and turning it over, she's now asleep and snoring in it completely inside out!! I mean why do that?

But my funny girl does make me smile
That again reminds me so much of my funny lovely Solstice. She was a great one for very loud games and dragging her bed around for no apparent reason. It always made me smile. After my evening out for a meal with friends tonight Joy greeted me with her Lambie and is now asleep at my feet in her downstairs bed. So very different from Sol, yet makes me smile every bit as much!

I put my coat and scarf on to walk out of the office yesterday at 4.00pm (yes spot on time for a change). I hadn't left the building all day and walked out into summer! It was around 22-23 degrees and gorgeous. A cold wind is back today but tomorrow again is going to be around 23.

It is no longer pitch dark when I leave for work (but still very cold). Same as Sophie over the ditch, it should start to really warm up in early September. Hooray :tail:
