What made you smile today?

I have a growth on my spine which occasionally fills with blood and presses on the nerves. It makes my leg go dead and hurts a lot, last time it happened I was in hospital for 4 days and nearly had to have an op.needless to say I have no intention of going near a hospital at the moment.
That does sound so very painful. Can understand why you wouldn't want to go to hospital at the moment. I really feel for you, not that is really any help, but thinking of you. Added, have just read you have some good painkillers x

@Sophiedoodle and I can't believe nobody has commented on this.
:listening: :listening:
haha so I have had a list of breeders that I have been researching for years and I thought for sure that there are people not taking their puppies during pandemic/lock-down - it's also a great time for a new pup - I am home indefinitely, and OH's two daughters are out of school for the foreseeable future (they are 18 and 14 so definitely the age now to take on care if/when we are back to normal sooner than anticipated). We haven't had this chance since we got Quinn 4 years ago and OH was home days for the first 6 months, and likely would not be home this long again until I retire (in a very long time!). So, I did find a breeder that has two pups left in a litter, including a black girl. We applied, and I am waiting to hear back. I'm really going back and forth on if this is a good idea - all the work will inevitably fall on me, but my real concern is how to cope with two and making sure Quinn is happy. I've always wanted 2, but also wanted to be more settled in terms of our house etc. The girls are really pushing for this, but OH is a maybe. He is fine with one, but will not say no if I want to do this. I also have a very selfish reason for wanting 2 - I don't think I could cope with the loss of Quinn and going to no dog. So, we shall see if we even need to discuss further, as the pups may go to other families before I applied!

And a lot of people dropping out by all accounts....
Worrying that lots of puppies won't be bought, what will happen. Lots of potential pups ending up in already struggling rescue centres. I don't think I would want to buy a puppy right now. How on earth could you socialise it with people, other dogs, new environments, training classes. xx

Our vets are not doing any vaccinations including puppy vaccs at the moment. At least for 3 weeks (our current lock down period), but this could be extended. I wouldn't like to be getting a puppy here just now.

It is crazy. People wanting puppies because they have a bit of free time and want an excuse to leave their houses. Makes my blood boil on so many levels.
Yep, I agree! There have been a few people who were on a waiting list for a different litter but moved up to a closer one so they could get their pups - those I understand... it’s the completely new people just wanting a puppy that bug me!
