What made you smile today?

Smiling because a new vacuum cleaner is being delivered today , how sad I must be
Not to worry Kate, I'm much the same over having bought a dishwasher. I've never had one before, it was installed just before lockdown, thank goodness, with 3 of us here 24/7. I love it to bits and it makes me smile smile smile from ear to ear. I'm so happy unloading it in the morning that I've had complaints of being being too loud

It's Mother's Day here and I got to sleep in and OH made me a coffee. He wanted to bring it to me in bed but I went downstairs and immediately realised why he wanted me to have it upstairs. There was the baby in the middle of the OATpocalypse, chatting away at the top of his lungs, covered in porridge.

Nathan really wanted to give me a chance to sleep in but "monster 2.0" woke me up at 5.30am by using my organs as a xylophone ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ. So I lay in bed with my eyes closed while Nath whispered (really loudly ๐Ÿ˜‚) to OH about getting up and making me a cuppa while I slept.

You definitely have to pretend to be asleep in that situation.

Rowan has just learnt to whisper, and we have all these whispered nonsense conversations. "Babababa yoyoyo."

I remember many years ago , when my two daughters were little, only 14 months between them . It was Mothering Sunday , and knowing that kettles were off limits , they made me a cup of cold tea . If this wasnt bad enough , they put some bread in the toaster and then spread it with lard as they couldnt find the butter  They brought the " feast " to me so proudly , I had to eat it and drink the tea , gagging all the while

We had a Zoom school reunion yesterday. Of the 40 of us altogether 24 signed into the chat! Most I haven't seen since 1990, when we left school. They are all just the same 30 years later! Now everyone is posting pics from their albums. We were all so carefree without any worries that girls have now of social media.

Ooo, that's nice. I love the color!

My happy thing was that my eBay-won used Seasalt Mac came today. Fits great and looks like it's never been worn. I'm patting myself on the back for getting a bargain and doing some eco-friendly clothes rehoming too. It's a sunny day in Cornwall, but rain...I'm ready for you!

Oh and my Tesco Club card came in the post as well. I'm officially a resident now.
