So I Darlington we’re in tier 2. Which means no halloweeining for the kids ☹

So they’ve put on a thing where you go for a walk on Halloween night with your kid and spot the decorated houses. Then you give them a treat for everyone they spot.

Mines all ready 🥰

That looks fab @Jen The kids will love it 😍

My Charity has set up something similar where I work. We’ve had a map created and residents tell us where they live if their window is decorated and we are encouraging families to follow the map and can get a prize for the top 3 decorated houses. All children get a pack of sweets when they drop their map to the local town council office. As it is an area of high deprivation, I have arranged art and craft sessions at my youth centre during half term where families can create pumpkins, window decorations etc and we are providing all the materials. We have to limit numbers of families due to social distancing and we now have 36 families signed up to come along. We have over 100 homes already on the map.
I’ve even managed to get myself on the rota to support my team and the families (I don’t get the opportunity very often to get involved with the actual doing of projects). @Jen would you mind if I screen shot your window and show families to give them ideas? Not a problem if you would prefer me not to do this.

Naya, you are doing such good work there. Well done you! xxx

We had a playdate at the park today (you're allowed to meet with one other household outside, with a maximum of 10 people now). We met with my mother's group friend so our kids have known each other since they were 8 weeks old and they go to childcare together. We could hear them walking along chatting away and somehow the topic of marriage came up. Sariel (my friend's daughter) said she'd like to marry Nathan. Nathan replied "I'd really like to be your best friend Sariel but I can't marry you as, when I get older, I want to marry my mummy"

I have brought a dog home from work and he has some resource guarding issues. I have been working really hard with him and a behaviourist to get him to where he is now.

He is currently sat on the sofa squeaking the life out of a toy 🤦🏽‍♀️ Apart from the fact it is SO annoying....it makes me smile so much just to see how far he has come. He has been with us at work since July/August.

He looks adorable. Will he go back to his previous home or will he be re-homed?
He will be re-homed eventually.
His previous owners didn’t seem to show much interest in trying to help him work out his issues. They were looking for, in their words, “the perfect dog, and Ghillie is not that” :( that made me sad, especially now as he is such a lovely boy. They just tried to say it was all genetic and he needed a behaviourist but weren’t willing to pay for one themselves :( it’s very sad x
