Thank you - it's good to be back! I was just taking a little break.By the way, it's good to see you![]()
Norfolk is very very dog friendly. If you recommend the property you should maybe pop it on the doggy holiday thread?
Certainly Norfolk advertised itself as very dog friendly.
That's great - thank you!This might be useful @Emily_Babbelhund
That site shows some great photos of Sea Palling beach. There were no restrictions whilst we were there but I think part of the beach is in summer. However, there is such a large area there and all the other Norfolk beaches - you’d be spoilt for choice @Emily_Babbelhund.This might be useful
That will probably change as he gets older, don't you think?as Bear would be able to break out of seven of them.
When will he stop jumping four foot gates? At the moment he's still on an upward-jumping trajectory. He's aiming for clearing me at standing height by ChristmasThat will probably change as he gets older, don't you think?
It was, though the road was busier than I thought and I objected to 7am / 10pm wee walks in my pyjamas. But I loved the place, and would definitely go back there, but probably not to that property, although it was perfect inside. That house in Crantock seemed very nice plus close to such a great beach.
Oops, forget I said anything. When will he stop jumping four foot gates? At the moment he's still on an upward-jumping trajectory. He's aiming for clearing me at standing height by Christmas.
Ha, sorry I didn't mean to sound sarky, I just think it's going to get worse before it gets better. TBH I wouldn't trust him in a strange house anyway so it's a moot point right now.Oops, forget I said anything.![]()
That site is really useful. If @Emily_Babbelhund or others are planning holidays in Norfolk, it might be worth pointing out that not all the beaches are sandy - there is a stretch of coast where they are more rocky/shingle. And others are quite tide dependent. There are miles and miles of dog-friendly sandy beaches but you do need to pick the right ones! That site shows some great photos of Sea Palling beach. You didn't sound snarky, you sounded factual. What a worry when you have to always consider whether Bear will make a run for it.Ha, sorry I didn't mean to sound sarky, I just think it's going to get worse before it gets better.
Rock or sand, just very nice how many are dog-friendly, even year-round. The two month stint in Brittany has really taught me to appreciate (even more) what a dog-friendly country the UK is.There are miles and miles of dog-friendly sandy beaches but you do need to pick the right ones!
Yep, Pods are well-known for being escapers. They climb well and can also jump ridiculous heights from standing. The Pods in the shelter here are always put in the kennels with a roof to prevent them escaping - but many will still try!I've heard many a wild tale of true doggie pros - @snowbunny can probably attest that Podencos are particularly famous in Spanish shelters for making a run for it
