What made you smile today?

Just caught a woman messing with my plants in the front garden. I watched her I could see she was curious about the wild garlic. She pulled a tiny bit off and sniffed and looked puzzled. She kept pulling and sniffing. Then she saw me watching her she was so totally embarrassed. I was laughing and said it's ok help yourself it's wild garlic. She tried to come up with an explanation, got even more embarrassed gave up and she said she thought she'd seen some in the woods so I told her they were the same and to help herself if she wanted to try some, I dont spray anything it's all fine. She got all giggly but said if it was ok she might come and get some later. I also told her it was going to flower soon and she might like to try them too. It was so funny her face when see saw me it did make me smile. If she likes it I'll give her some roots for her garden.

We bought a house! It's a 1914 bungalow in a great location with lots of gorgeous period features and a 90s kitchen and bathroom. We are planning to live in it for a couple of years and then do our dream renovation.
Fantastic! When will you move?

We have a 12 week settlement but won't be able to move in immediately as there are a few things to fix first, so probably more like four months.

I'm looking forward to finding out a bit about the history of the house as it has a few unusual features for the area, was build about 20 years earlier than most of the houses and is a bit bigger and more ornate than most of them. I heard that it might have been built by the local timber merchant, which would explain all the ornate wooden stuff!

Sounds exciting! I love older houses and thinking about their history and who lived there before.
