Not really, that tennis ball looks as if it’s in one piece. I blame squirrels.Quite a severe one I’d say![]()

Yum! One of the things I love about going to Ireland in early September is that wild blackberries are everywhere. Anyplace you want to take a nice long walk, they are right there to snack on. My Irish friend teases me - to him it's like trying to eat leaves. They are just there and he ignores them. Why? They are delicious! They taste just as good now as they did then
She managed to get a photo of said cat and posted it on her FB page and lo and behold , it turns out that many people in her neighbourhood are also feeding the cat which it seems is most likely not pregnant but just greedy and very fat![]()
That's excellent Kate.My smile for today . I have a virtual friend who lives in Nebraska , known her for 14 years , a very caring animal lover she is too . A feral cat has been visiting her garden so she has been feeding it because it looked like it was pregnant . The concern Kay had was that she is soon moving to Kansas and worries about the cat and probable kittens but she can not get close enough to the cat to catch it and take it with her, she has lost sleep over the thought of leaving it behind . I can't imagine !! They are indeed delicious and freely available. Great when cooked with apple. Why?
We have these growing randomly in our garden, they come up between the slabs and through bits of the decking wall. Some years there's virtually no crop, others are better. I love the taste of them, more raspberry than strawberryFound wild strawberries on my run this morning, in exactly the place I used to pick them over 35(!!) years ago. They taste just as good now as they did thenView attachment 26324
