What made you smile today?

@Sophiedoodle you're gorgeous and those puppies are so happy. That video has totally made me smile! 😁

@Jen I think I already asked you this, but it's nothing to do with Stanley's harness, right? Carbon has patchy fur in the same area but not completely naked like Stanley - for him it's definitely just his harness rubbing. And I'm a guilty Mama Lady for not sorting a different harness out for him after all this time.
No Stanley doesn’t wear a harness. Just his collar. No doubt he’ll be at the vets for something soon so I’ll ask them again but theyre Just really dismissive about it because it’s not irritated and only the one patch and he’s otherwise healthy.

How many puppies / litters do you have at any one time @Sophiedoodle ?
We currently have 4 litters, so quite busy. One is 5 weeks, Oreo’s are 4 weeks (almost), and two litters are 2 weeks old (well, a day apart).

A friend rang me a couple of days ago to say that he was having a birthday celebration in the Puzzle (my nearest and most favourite pub) thisevening, if I'd like to go along. It's not his birthday but he reckons he's missed two due to Covid, so he was going to have a bit of a party! Joy and I went down at about 8pm. We met a sweet little Yellow Lab who is just a year old and starting to learn her pub manners and a very nice Springer who was four, same age as Joy. We also met friends who we haven't seen for well over a year. There was a lovely atmosphere and we stayed until 9.30ish, Joy having pub treats and lots of fuss, me having 3 glasses of nice beer. We're home now in the garden and it's lovely. I can still hear my friends outside the pub, which is less than a 2 minute walk away, and pick out certain people's distinctive laughs! We're all peaceful up here though and I'm reading 'Where the Crawdads Sing ' one of the best things I've read in a long time. It's nice to be able to sit quietly with my girl and read, yet still hear my friends' voices. It's raining ever so slightly, just enough to cool things down without making anything very wet, although I'm all prepared for a dash inside should it get heavier. GGJ is all peaceful in her garden bed. I feel very lucky to live in this lovely place and it makes me smile a lot thisevening!:giggle:20210702_225243.jpg

There was only us two booked on at the shooting range this morning. We finished our 50 shots....I'd badgered OH to bring 100 more cartridges "just in case"...so...well we shot 50 more each. We are on holiday this week. We've made it a shooting and eating holiday. Will probably have shot 500-550 each this week by the time we're finished. Loving it :)

When we shoot at the club range we're both hopeless numpties, it's such a different environment...I wish they could see us at the other range.

It's brilliant you've found a brand new hobby that you both enjoy so much and gets you out and about to different places. I'm quite envious😊
