What made you smile today?

Yes so happy for you @MrChew after so many disappointments finding a property. Sounds like you have a great new home 🏡
We're thankful that we found this house every day.

The location is so great. We are within an easy walk of a sports field, playground, community garden, bike path, train station, library and shops (including an Indian/Nepalese grocer, two Japanese grocers, a Latin American grocer/fruit shop and several cafes...).

Chewie seems happier here too. He had a massive zoomie in the garden This evening and just seems a bit friskier. I guess us spending time playing outside is exciting for him. :)

I'm with you there. I have weird baby fine hair and you can't do a thing with it.
My Mother had lovely thick hair and she could sit in bed and 'twiddle it' and she looked as if she had just been to a London Hairdresser. I have to wet mine every day (wash every other day) and attempt to blow dry it, any wind makes it stand on end and it stays there, in the morning I look as I have been dragged through a hedge backwards!

What made me smile today was putting my Out Of Office on my work email. A nightmare work year has ended and I am officially on holidays for 3 weeks! We fly to Lord Howe Island tomorrow for 10 days then back home for 3 days to jump through many hoops to prepare for overseas travel to Fiji for 10 days

A glass of wine or two is required to celebrate

@Lab_adore have a wonderful time and a good rest. Is Maxx going to his usual place?
Thanks Sonia, yes Maxx is going to the local kennels. He must enjoy it because every time we drive up he practically jumps out of the car window to get in! We will miss him dreadfully and I do wish we had friends/family who could take care of him; but we don't so this is the best we can do. We book the maximum amount of playtime and they pair him with a dog of similar size and temperament as a 'room mate' so he will be fine.

What an excellent idea to pair the dogs up. Good that he gets excited when he gets there, so you can feel happy that he will have a great time.
