Never, ever thought that this would be a brag I'd have regarding a Labrador, but on our way home from the morning walk Joy found a cooked chicken bone in the street, which of course she immediately picked up. Holding out no hope whatsoever, I said 'Joy, drop' to her......and.....well,...she did! Just like that, dropped it and carried on trotting along beside me! She doesn't appear poorly at all, has eaten her tea, demolished a stuffed Kong and some frozen raw carrot, seems perfectly well and contented.
I'd like to claim that it's all due to excellent training on my part, but actually I think it's just because she's a Veryvery GoodgirlJoy!

I honestly don't think that I can take any credit for the training here, it's just that she's a sweet girl and likes to please me........... Knowing that there was a tube of liver paste in my pocket may have played a part though, come to think of it!

My friend's dog (husband is a vet I used to work for) has been opened up at least three times for things eaten. The other day, he was sick so my friend got a stick and prodded around in the vomit and found he had swallowed a pair of knickers which were not hers!!!!Andddd me
