Magnetic collars?

Has anyone tried them? Leo is just old and part of that is he is now stiff and sore if he over does it.. but mentally he still desperately wants to chase the ball or go for hikes etc.

He also has huperthyroidism which he is medicated for daily... we have tried pain killers but they upset his stomach and frankly at nearly 13 I don’t want to be putting anything into him that puts a strain on his organs.

But I’ve been looking at the collars and the reviews seem really positive? Is it placebo or is there something in it?

Oh bless Leo, I’ve not tried the magnetic collars but regarding the turmeric I think the jury is out on that one. I personally used it for Mabel and thought it was a complete waste of time on the other hand my neighbour swears by it for her labs. The orthopaedic specialist Mabel has regular checkups with recommendations high potency Omega 3. I buy it online from Natures Best.

@Leanne This is good. Gro-Well Joint Aid For Dogs - From £8.90

My vet only recommends Joint Aid as she knows it works and it's also a reasonable price. She's used it on her dogs for years. It has cucumin in it which is the stuff in turmeric that's supposed to help joints etc. I've seen the results of using this and it is quite impressive. My friends Rottie was diagnosed with arthritis in her hocks when she was two. They've always looked bad. By the age of about seven the Rottie had difficulty sitting, climbing on to things etc. Only a few weeks of Joint Aid and she'd improved remarkably. My cousins dog Ralph got to the stage were he had a permanent limp in his front leg. We assumed arthritis from a recurring injury he first did when young. We put him on joint aid and the limp near enough went. I give my two Joint Aid as a preventative.

Don’t bother with the magnets - there’s no evidence that they work. Which is unfortunate as they’re cheap and easy to get, so it’d be great if they did work. But they don’t.
