It's rather warm here too. My garden is pretty much all patio, so nearly all my plants are in containers, which take a lot of watering in this weather, particularly as there is now a hosepipe ban.
I emptied the last of my three water butts today too!
A friend has said that she thinks it's probably OK to use the hose (which is attached to the outside tap) to fill the watering can, rather than filling it inside, so it's not quite as far to carry. I'm just hoping she's right!

It’s been 30 degrees here today - currently 28. Red will need a little toilet walk but still too hot to take her. Last week we had an air conditioning unit installed in our sitting room. The room has two huge picture windows facing south and west so it gets very hot. We chose not to have curtains but completely plain white blinds to match the walls. They block out the sun and do a good job. The air conditioner I am still getting used to but I think it’s going to be well used in the years to come. Tomorrow is forecast to be hotter - 32 degrees 😳

Apart from pegging out and then bringing washing in , I dont go out just stay in the sitting room with the curtains drawn .
Me too, Kate. I did a little bit of tidying up a pyracantha this morning when it was cooler, but it’s been far too hot to be outside today. Even hanging out the washing was a struggle and Tuppy wasn’t keen to be outside later in the day either.

It has been 32 and no sign of rain (had a splash last night though) for weeks and weeks and weeks and no sign of rain in the next 10 day forecast. I am worn out with watering every night.

I have taken Flicka out on a very shady walk, she dives into deepish water where it gathers, though the stream is virtually dry in other areas, it must be like a damn. She leaps in and gets soaked completely and then we walk. Otherwise all other walks here are like an oven.

It’s similar here - a few spots of rain yesterday evening, but none forecast. When it became overcast I checked the rainfall radar and watched the small amount of rain go either side of the blob on the map showing where I live!

I’ve played with Tuppy in the garden when it’s been cooler, as it’s too hot to walk on the paths or go to the woods in the car. Fortunately now she’s older she’s happy with that, as she soon starts panting on walks when it’s hot anyway. :(
