Labrador character trait analysis:
99% adorable attention seeker, constantly looking for belly rubs
1% 'Break into my family's home and I'll take your arm off all the way to the shoulder!'

I think we are all so used to seeing the 99% that we forget that a Labrador attached to a body part by their teeth is not something to be taken lightly!

Well done Romeo

Steve was away once a few years ago and I was working upstairs and Maxx was sound asleep at my feet. I heard a very strange noise downstairs at the front door (later to realise it was someone trying to jimmy open the door lock with a screwdriver) and Maxx, in one bound, leapt to his feet, down the stairs - all the while sounding like a crazed animal (same noise that Romeo made) and the would-be burglars took off. We had a brief spate of crime in our suburb which, up until then, was pretty much crime-free. It is good again now but not as safe. So sad (and one of the many reasons we are moving to a remote island in a year or two)

Good boy Maxx

Very well done Maxx. I live on my own and have had dogs who would bark and scare off a burglar, but Flicka never barks and wouldn't scare a fly! So I do worry!

I use to say that about my dogs. Once I was walking with my Labrador Robbie along the river and a man came running up to me waving a stick. Robbie went mad. The man stopped in his tracks and said I was only going to ask you how to get to the main road. Robbie was not having any of it, so you never know @Stacia
