The other thing that occurs to me is that she doesn't know she has to 'earn' food so you could start with training stuff that doesn't encourage mugging (ie no luring required) and see if she learns about learning....

I agree with @MaccieD I wouldn't worry about sit. I'd spend time working on calm behaviours and attention on you. Once you have those training will be just as fast as the other pup. Also if luring is causing problems then you could try some free shaping, she must sit sometimes :)

I'm sure you'll get some value out of it @Selina27 . I've yet to go to any trainer where I didn't gain something useful from the session. None have been perfect though :)

I do this with obi between kerbs on the road if he's bonkers. Luckily we have several dead ends near us so very quiet roads.

How's Poppy now? Much better I hope! Riley's soft pallette goes a bit funny from time to time and it sounds like he's struggling to breathe. He generally looks less than thrilled but not super stressed and it wears off after a bit. It might be something similar?

If I was spending quite a bit of time on lead I might slide the stopper down so the loop doesn't get too big and the dog can reverse out of it. If I'm working or training the dogs I slide it right up to the handle. Slip leads should be easy to put on and take off. If it's like wriggling into...
