Plum is also crackers about tennis balls and any other ball she finds. I have a huge box under the stairs of balls she’s found on walks. She has an unerring ability to sniff them out, even if they are in muddy puddles! I could open a second-hand shop myself!

Plum would go bonkers late morning/early afternoon when I’d get back home from visits at work to do admin. She’d be full on lunatic while I tried to do stuff on my laptop (no chance). Then a repeat bout of hooliganism in the evening. She was a little nut job! I smile now but NEVER again.

I have two pairs of muck boots and I love them both although one pair, the Arctic sport, has a far better grip than the other. I find the Arctic pair so comfortable, the fit is perfect and they are really warm. Both pairs eat my socks though and it’s infuriating. Both pairs are mid calf length...

Plum gets 65-70kg kibble twice a day sometimes soaked in the drained water from veg or pasta, topped with either some wet food (a variety), or half a tin of sardines/mackerel, or some chopped fruit or veg and often a chunk of raw carrot.

I loved this memoir, I found it very moving. I would definitely recommend ‘Oranges.’
