Yes…definitely a danger! We got new shoes, backpacks and walking poles at Christmas and will get the shoes broken in before we go. Hopefully we will be able to keep on top of any issues so they won’t get too bad. 🙏

I have to say I feel very lucky that Simba is doing as well as he does. He’s 11.5 but you really wouldn’t know it, except for his silver muzzle (and eyebrows :happy:). He still has lots of energy and is going on our training walks for our Camino with just as much, if not more, pep than we have...

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2024 holds many lovely adventures big and small for you all! We celebrated with some friends at their house, playing games, chatting, watching the New York “ball” thingy in Times Square. It was a nice night and somehow I made it to midnight without nodding off...

My son is home! Here for the weekend, then to the city next week. We’ll catch up with him and the other two kids on the 23rd and then it’s a bunch of family time until he goes back to Montreal on the 29th. :inlove:

Wonderful!! After many, many years of suffering with the most barky dog in the world (previous pooch, not Simba, thankfully!), I can truly imagine the relief!

Simba was named by his first owner, who was my son’s girlfriend. She was from an African country (can’t remember which one) and of course Simba is the word for “lion” in some African languages. So I’m not sure if that was the connection, because of his golden-coloured eyes, or whether she just...

He’s so cute! I have no idea whether it’s specific to English labs, but I suspect it’s probably more a preference for the dog.

Simba has eaten soooo many things I thought would be the death of him. Try not to panic. I know it’s hard. :hug:
