    Leather collar

Thank you @VanillaBean , that is very useful information. We were due to start those injections last year, again after long conversations with the vet but then bloody Covid 19 struck and it all got put on hold. Your post has made me think again about testing. If grass is the culprit and it is...

    Leather collar

Thanks @Natalie . I did have a long conversation with a vet some time ago. He actually said, in the end we may never identify the causes and it costs a fortune. If we could be sure to get a definitive answer and it was treatable, of course we'd do the tests, but .... That vet also pointed...

    Leather collar

Thanks for your replies, those are very helpful. I'll look at the sites you suggest. I'm sure we'll find something. @Selina27 , thanks for asking about my dear little itchymutt. Unfortunately she hasn't had much respite this winter which is what usually happens. J says that it's probably...

    Leather collar

I need to change Molly's collar to a leather one. I'm told leather is better for dogs with sinsitive skin - should have realised it before - so would like any reccommendations. I've mosied about online and there are several types and a huge range of prices. I'm not sure which is best. I think...

    Christie and Alice

I'm so sorry @Heidrun. Two special friends lost in such a short time. 30 years is a long time to live with a loved one, a life time in fact. No wonder your heart is broken. That is a wonderful photo of Alice with the Clumbers. You're right, her confidence and proud character really shines...

This is not meant to be!!

What an awful situation to get stuck in, that is a seriously nasty wound for sure. A shame Nisha missed a vet visit but under these circumstances, your finger was more critical. I hope you've got the pain meds now and they do the trick.

    What made you smile today?

People who do those silly tricks with treats - or biscuits or any food stuff - are almost without exception, not dog people but just types who think they can show a 'clever' move with someone's dog. Very annoying and foolish and you can see the inevitable coming from miles away

Pedigree and Chappie Recalls Dog Food

Thanks. I do use Chappie but only the tins. Thank goodness, it seems the tinned food isn't affected.

    A traumatic morning.

Bless her, dear little girl, so bloody awful for a gentle dog to go through this. We're lucky that Molly is so food obsessed that we can easily disgiuse tabs. I hope some of these suggestions work @Candy. Very gentle hugs for GGJ  x

    A traumatic morning.

Hell, just catching up. That is horrendous @Candy , your poor little girl. Sadly there are some very inexperienced PCs out there with 'ideal' reactions but absolutely no idea of how things really are. You know what to do and how to report this - as you have done. You can't listen to those...
