I'm finding these ideas useful as it's still so windy and we are surrounded by trees that are precarious after Eunice, scary to walk too far - J's car still under a tree too, goodness knows when that will be released
Just catching up with posts and I'm very sorry to see this.
Our BJ was on Epilease (potassium bromide) for many years after we managed - with a vet's help - to get him off phenobarb. Gradually over years we were able to reduce the dose to a VERY low level as his seizures became less frequent...
Firstly, I hope Rory's OK, recovers well and any underlying problems can be 'sorted'.
We had a springer castrated at 6 and it caused no mental or behavioural changes at all. Physically, he weighed a bit less at the back end
Good points there @MellowYellow . We had exactly the same with BJ, he tried to get to us as he felt the seizure starting and we did the same.
If lights were on, we turned them off, sat on the floor with him, kept everything quiet and just held him until it passed.
Oh, no, that's such a shame. I know that scrabbling noise so well, it's a heart breaker when you realise what it means. I hope she settles and this is just a brief break in what was a good long time seizure free.
I also agree with everyone else. I would ask for an explanation of what happened and ask for a refund if you feel you can't go back. I certainly wouldn't continue as apart from everything else, I would have lost my confidence in their methods.
Its lovely to see him again and hear how he has made so much difference, just wonderful :inlove:
.... and going off the subject briefly, that strawberry concoction there has me stunned and drooling big time ... cor what a fantastic bowl-full that is 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
