Hopefully he will be ok with such a low intake, but as @Selina27 mentioned some dogs can be more affected, I would phone vet for advice just to be on the safe side.

Same with Rourke, he used to rush into the consulting room before even the vet and I got in, was full of vim and vigour, the moment we left the vet, he would remember that he had dreadful arthritis and could hardly walk!

So pleased to read that Red and Kipper are so much better. @HAH what a decent vet you have to reduce consultation fee for you. I must say that Pet Plan who insured all my dogs, including Flicka, paid up for Rourke immediately even though I made so many claims for him.

Poor darling, she does look low, but will feel so much better being home with you. Such a shame we don't have vets who do out of hours, but the emergency vets are there, but not the same and in my case a difficult journey away. Thinking of you x

Have only this minute seen your post, I am so sorry it is a dreadful worry when they are ill. I have known at least three dogs with the same condition and they all became well again, so have hope. xx
