Managed to get some carpet cleaner that @Granca recommended and to an extent it has almost removed the stain but not quite, still sticks out a bit like a sore thumb. Thanks for all very useful ideas, I will remember them when it is fresh vomit, some very useful tips.

You made a good decision for Hugo and he is now home safe with you. I had my three dogs castrated and non of them ever put on any weight. If you see him beginning to look fatter, just reduce his food a little, I am sure all will be well :hug:

Flat Coats are known as the clowns and always so optimistic about life, they are a joy. Duncan already has so much character in his face.

Thanks @Cath I did do all of the above and normally I can defeat the stain, but not this time. Flicka ate something really horrid, apart from all her supper the vomit was also very dark brown!

Hills Gastrointestinal Food from Hills Prescription diet worked miracles on Flicka. It isn't a forever food, just feed until poos are normal. I also routinely give her Keffir Yoghurt every day but that doesn't sort out the initial problem.

Hope Red feels settled this evening. You must be so relieved that nothing turned up on the ultrasound. Hope her tummy problems resolves itself or a good reason is found and treatment can begin.
