I'm hoping she gradually forgets all that. I think her puppyhood has been rather dominated by training and working and I'd like her to just be a family pet, although we have been doing a bit of gundog training with her - more to keep her occupied than anything else.

Well the girl is back! The problem now is keeping her calm. She slept solidly from when we brought her home at 4 o'clock to around 9 o'clock when she perked up a bit so I took her out to see if she needed a wee but she didn't. I gave her a very small meal of some bland tinned food the vet...

Just home. Poor lamb is completely zonked. Everything went well, thanks everyone. I'll report tomorrow. Vet thought she was in super condition /weight - about as good as she has seen in a long while in a Labrador and she thought she is a super looking dog.

Just waiting for the call - any time from 10:30 to 14:30. Amazingly Poppy has settled even with no breakfast although she did insist on climbing on my knee while I was having my breakfast tea. Not easy to balance a lab on a knee and drink tea at the same time. :rofl:

The evening after the SBD had her op we ended up with a £113 extra for an out of hours x-ray because she ate a tennis ball! Just saying. 😂

As part of the contract when we took Poppy on, we have to have her spayed. The op is tomorrow and no food after 9pm tonight and no water after 09:00 tomorrow. Poor lamb and we can't explain or ask for her opinion but I know what that would be.

Oh dear! Poor lamb. Hopefully she won't try that again.
