    Beaver Cottages, Tintagel

That sounds perfect! I will add it to my not-very-long list of truly pig-friendly holiday Cottages :)

    Beaver Cottages, Tintagel

Sounds lovely. When you say ‘enclosed garden’, does it have a fence/hedge/wall all the way around or could a dog get out through gaps? This is our main criterion for any holiday let with the Pig!

    Meet up? Let’s book it!

My husband went to view the house we are buying again yesterday, he took this photo of the view from the front room :)

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

Coco I think I would also like a Meg to stay. How do I get one? Is she a muddle-dog like me and you and if so what kind of pants does she have? In my experience there are two types of dog in this world, so the question is, Iis she the kind of dog that sneaks and weasels, or the kind that bashes...

    Meet up? Let’s book it!

That is almost exactly where we are probably moving house too! Well, 12 mins drive away! We won’t be moved by then, but will probably be planning various trips up there in the coming months so could probably time one to coincide with a doggy meet up :hi: exciting that there is such a good dog...

    When it goes completely wrong..

It seems to be a universal law that whenever you try to record a dog doing something good it all goes wrong! The Pig has done beautiful long blind retrieves for me consistently in one of the fields, but I stick a go pro on her to film it and she wanders off, eats some rabbit poo then runs up to...

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

That happened to me once Rory too. Except t’was a purple socky monster that did attack me when I was sleeping at the bum-lady’s house rather than a blue socky-monster. Lookie here for evidence: I vowed never to go back to the bum-lady’s house ever again but then GRAVY BONES. Anyway I hope your...

    Hello - Newbie here

Welcome from me and the Pig who is 3, we are on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border but will soon be relocating to north Wales. I thought I recognised the name Boomer from the other forum, excellent investigative skills!

    We have a monster!!

Ah good point. Ok, so crash helmet, arm bands, elbow pads and a thermos of coffee.

    We have a monster!!

The only solution is that you sleep in the tree. With a crash helmet, elbow pads and arm bands of course so you are covered for all eventualities.

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

Happy Burpday Hunter. That sounds a good day. I never hardly ever have birthdays apart from like once a year because Pig-mummy is mean. I deserve birthdays much more often than that.

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

Pig-mummy doesn’t let me hang around the little puppee’s wheelie bed too long because I get worried and want to climb in. I like it best when she is on mummy’s knee and I have easy snozzling access. Anyway to hang around her wheelie bed I have to activate Pig Stealth Mode. I’m really good at...

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

That hooman puppee arrived! She is called Willow Rose like the dog Willow but with fewer leggies and no tail. I wasn’t sure of her at first, I went all still and tense and didn’t want to look at her. Then I decided I really wanted to snozzle her but pig daddy wouldn’t let me so I jumped around...

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

Hmm Carbon I hadn’t thought about giving cuddles to get my dinner early. I go for the sneezing-and-chomping-my-teeths tactic and that seems to work pretty well. Also as a bonus I get nice clear snout-holes and pig-mummy gets a sneeze-shower which anyone would appreciate.

The right trainer for you but the wrong trainer for your dog?

This is an interesting thread. We started going to monthly positive group gundog classes in the spring (now having a break sadly, and after the break will be relocated to North Wales which is unfortunately I think too far to go to Evesham for class again...) and some classes went really well...

    Sheep!

yes I think that is a good idea. And I will - mates rates for lab forum people, of course (in return for the Pig getting to play with new friends!)

    Sheep!

looks like my OH's free time is going to be spent on fencing activities for the foreseeable future! ugh I hope there are no muntjac there. Apparently there are otters in the stream though :D god knows what the Pig will think of an otter!

    Sheep!

Hattie is just a darling isn't she  at least I will be able to easily find sheep for training purposes, unlike my muntjac troubles!
  20. Lara_Pigletina

    Sheep!

Absolutely. I remember the terrible day when she got away from me hunting a muntjac, tore her long line and harness off, and ran through bramble bushes until her face was bleeding and she had thorns in her eyelids. She was so full of adrenaline she couldn't feel the pain, I still cry when I...
