    Sheep!

doesn't sound harsh at all, I don't think I will ever be in a position where I am so confident in the Pig that I have her off the lead in a sheepy area. I guess my worry is, it seems like a stray sheep might pop up in any place at any time! There are a lot of dodgy tumble-down dry stone walls...

    Sheep!

Exactly! its more the random escaped sheep that I am worried about than the ones in fields, but it really seems like I am just going to have to be on high alert at all times, everywhere (which I already felt I was with the Pig because of risk of deer etc., but now even more so!). Ah I would love...

    Sheep!

Yes I am pretty excited! The house doesn't need much serious stuff doing, so just the fun cosmetic stuff to do to make it our style. The land around it is a higgledy-piggledy arrangement of random paddocks and outbuildings, but there is a little cottage garden that we are going to fence well...

    Sheep!

yes I looked at some sheep awareness courses online, there are a few that look quite good but I think there is a big difference between relatively calm stationary sheep in a field, and a single running hill sheep on a path. Ah I wish the Pig liked balls! But I agree, I wouldn't ever trust her...

    Sheep!

So, it is looking likely that in the next 4 months or so we are moving to a Victorian farmhouse in Snowdonia! Which is very exciting (and y’know, clearly the best time to make a big house move is with a new baby ;) ) but what fills me with horror is the abundance of sheep in the surrounding...

    I’m a bit late!

Hi from me and the Pig, a Lab x English Pointer. We also dabble in gundoggery, making a lot of progress on the retrieving side with dummies, but absolutely no progress on the ‘control round deer/pheasants/any other furry-feathery-creatures’ side. I would be interested in hearing more about your...

    Licking beds

Yep, the Pig licks her bed before settling down to sleep. She seems to include it in her nightly routine lick of her puppy boobies and bottom...I’m glad she is not allowed on the sofa as I am sure she would lick that too if it was classified as a sleeping place!

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

I think we are too big for a pellycan but I reckon they could eat Nelly  mummy says pellycan’s beak can hold more than its bellycan. That’s the opposite of me because I can only hold one toilet roll or one snout-full of kibble at once but my belly can hold both at the same time I found out...

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

I reckon we could, little Kipper...I bet they taste like fishy pidgey and I like fish and I like pidgeys too

    New Toffee Thread

Ah don’t we all have a maladjusted leopard gecko at home that we wished we had socialised right ;)

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

I went swimming yesterday but then a swon came. A swon is a big feathery boat-bird with scaly monster legs. The swon shouted at me so I shouted at the swon. I stuck all my hairs up to show that norty swon I was a Big Pig but he didn’t care and then his wife came so I shouted at her too. Mummy...

    The Pig at daycare

Ooh cookies and cream sounds excellent...I will add that to the list! And should try frozen yoghurt too, might be better for the waistline (if I ever get it back!). You should definitely take a ‘home holiday’ in the future and just potter about for a week or two, good for the soul especially...

    The Pig at daycare

I would recommend a recipe book by Kitty Travers called La Grotta Ices, she has amazing flavours and I have developed a bit of an addiction - she is all about using the whole plant in her recipes and has a blackcurrant ice cream where you infuse it with blackcurrant leaves as well as the fruit...

    The Pig at daycare

hahaha Stanley is one of the cool kids! Smoking behind the bike sheds...although if there had been a cupboard full of pigs ears I am pretty sure the Pig would have been on that one too. And actually she is the only one that isnt allowed off the lead on their pack walk because she would run off...

    The Pig at daycare

Oh no, if mine had arrived 5 weeks early she would have been born on a Great Western Railway train or on the circle line, thank god she didnt! To be honest if she takes after me or OH she ain't gonna be early for anything!

    The Pig at daycare

Finally getting to the end of my work ‘to do’ list and so had time for a nap today, had a nice walk with Piggy playing gundog games, and made some blackberry ice cream too - so finally embracing mat leave! I hope the hooman puppee waits another two weeks as could get used to this life of leisure!

    The Pig at daycare

With me she is just looking out for things to steal for a kibble ransom, but apparently she just stood by them wagging her tail vaguely and craning her neck around them to get a closer look at what they were doing, and occasionally poking her head into cupboards...

    The Pig at daycare

For some reason I thought she was one of the cool kids at daycare  but actually she is one of those kids that wears their rucksack on both shoulders and brings the teacher presents :geek:

Kipper, there are monsters on trains, don’t do it. In other important news, does anyone get an attack of Flappy Tongue when they gets butter on it? I licked some butter off the edge of the bin and it was amazing but then my tongue wouldn’t stop licking wherever I went for like ten whole minutes...

    The Pig at daycare

The Pig goes to daycare every Tuesday, it’s a couple who live on a small farm and the dogs have the run of the house and the farm yard and a paddock. Normally I am at work but now as I am on maternity leave I get to see her get picked up and dropped off and get a little report on her day. And I...
