It’s important that you trust the vet’s abilities. Do you think this vet is competent? Otherwise, go with your instinct.

Is the black bit a scab? Could you send a photo to the vet in the meantime, to ease your mind until your appointment? My vet says that he’s not worried about lumps on top of the skin. They’re most likely warts. Usually hard and look like a teeny-tiny cauliflower.

What is her reasoning? Is she thinking the red meat itself is coming out black? Or is it irritating his bowel? It did occur to me that he might be eating a lot of liver? It can come out black in poo.

I recall Snowie as a puppy used to throw a tantrum at around 5am if we didn’t get up. He would toss his bed across the bedroom! I don’t know if this is the correct advice, but we were told to ignore him, which we tried to. But we’d heave with laughter under the duvet at his tantrum antics...
