A lovely couple from our village brought round a dog buggy, gifted to Nelly, yesterday :heart: She is walking on her three legs but tires very quickly so this will be a fantastic compromise , she is so loved xx

I have a large bag full of dressings and vet wrap so I cleaned the little open wound at the top of her leg , sprayed it with the stuff from the vets , applied a soft pad, bandaged it in place and then vet wrapped it all up, trussed her up like a little chicken . At least it will keep it clean as...

I have just had a peep at the big wound ,it is holding together with no seepage . The small one where the stitches have broken will heal by secondary intention I guess xx

Not a good night , she was very unsettled and despite all our care , some of the stitches at the top of her leg have come open . I have some spray from the Vets to put on it, it is only quite a small area that her medivest doesnt cover . @Selina27 , Sue was able to gently pull the two sides...

She will come to bed with me , I have some special pet pads to put under a blanket in case of bleeding . I am tired , really tired and sadly Annas van has broken down so Reuben will need a walk tomorrow but never mind , Nelly needs careful nursing now and thats what she will get , time to rest...

She came home at 3.30 . We have to be extra vigilant as there is a small chance of the wound breaking down so no jumping , even over the back door step . The wound by her front leg is bleeding so I am gently cleaning it , she has a medivest on but is also wearing her cone . I was amazed that...

The nurse has just called us to say that Nelly is out of surgery and that Sue had done a wonderful job of stitching up the wound :clap: They will call us when she is awake properly and ready to come home . Much relief here and longing to bring her home to nurse her xxxxx

Just home from dropping Nelly off for her surgery and feeling so teary , poor little angel . On the lighter side , at my request the police sent me an e mailed report of their actions regarding THAT dog and the owner . It said that they visited the owner who admitted that her dog was out of...

The nurse found some vet wrap with elephants on it, so she is Nelly the Elephant xx I do with she would wear her lovely coat but no , refuses to move with it on ! xx

This made me smile , Nelly really wanted to walk with me and the big lad , very eager and managed a good ten minutes , now shattered but happy xx
