    Dog Club

As you enjoy going then I think you should feel free to continue without feeling under pressure to work at the same level as the other members of the class. But if you decide to have a break of course that's fine too and you may find a different course later on that interests you.

    Deaf? Eye ulcer.

Such good news that it's not cancer and you must be delighted to see Snowie feeling much better.

    Beds.

At night Molly has a human fold-out bed chair (Z bed) with some blankets on top. She almost always sleeps stretched out so I wanted something big enough and these are much cheaper than ones for dogs. During the day she sleeps on the settee!

    Deaf? Eye ulcer.

Very glad that Snowie has got his appetite back - I imagine he must be feeling a bit better. I hope the antibiotics do a complete job on the infection.

14 day foundational behaviours training course

Kipper looks so happy in that photo! I think I use a 'start button' technique with Molly being groomed (as she's not keen on it - but fortunately doesn't need a lot). I ask for paws up on a step and when she does I start to groom. If she steps down I stop. With my borrowed dogs I use eye-contact...

    The Three Toy Game

(I was going to put this in the Training Toolbox section but I'm not allowed to post it there.) This is a game to encourage your dog to focus on you - to develop the attitude that the best place is always where you are. Put 3 toys (soft toys/ tuggy toys) in a triangle, each a few yards apart...

I've just registered for this course/conference Fenzi Dog Sports Academy - Hocus Pocus: Train for Magical Focus! - March 9, 2024 It starts this evening (UK) as running on Pacific time but it says the sessions are recorded so I can watch them over the next few days. Still time to register if...

    Animals you are scared of

I have a completely irrational fear of snakes, and even slow worms - even writing it is making me tense. I'm absolutely fine with spiders, rats, mice etc.

    Homer being sick

I'm glad he's had a slight weight increase. I think of you often - it must be so stressful. x

    Rally at Crufts

@Selina27 I'm sure Cassie could do well competing in Rally. And yes the dogs do enjoy it. @Jelinga Int he case of Crufts, the teams are given a course plan in advance and also have time to walk it without their dogs. At normal shows you don't get the course in advance but you do get plenty of...

    Rally at Crufts

The inter-regional competition yesterday was won by the Midlands team. I've put the link here but there are hours of it of course. However you might like to see the superb Labrador who won Level 4 which is at around 2 hours 39 minutes in. https://www.youtube.com/live/Hvjb2Sn_HGY?si=UykfgHVQ1wUHgG6P
