It wouldn't be too bad....about 23 hours travel time, you completely lose a day (we give it back on the way home) a 40+ degree temperature change and you get to stay with two crazy Aussies and their even crazier dog!Sounds like a fab idea.
Not sure I could hack the journey though - the Hawaii to Edinburgh via San Francisco and London Heathrow about killed me last year.

DH makes all our bread. He used to have a bread machine but now does the dough in the Kitchen Aid and uses the bread rising function on the oven. He then shapes into rolls and once baked and cooked, he freezes. Easy to take a roll out and defrost in the microwave. Trouble is I find bread puts weight on me quickly so I have to resist. DH often gives friends/relatives freshly baked bread as they love it so much. He makes speciality breads too.I make all my own bread
It’s the same way I do this! I started baking bread when my OH got ill and had to reduce salt intake. I use low salt in the bread I makeI love my bread maker...however I just get the first stage of bread-making done in it. I just set it to dough stage, them take it out and shape it into a loaf, let it rise, and then bake in the oven. Tastes better - somehow it isn’t as dense and is more like real home made.
I enjoy baking but I can’t make pastry to save my life. Frozen pie crusts work just fine, thank you very much!
