A traumatic morning.

Glad she’s gradually doing some more of her normal things...

The wound will be very swollen. It will shrink down a lot in time.

Obi got attacked once which left him with a wound of similar size (4 inches plus) but once healed it was less than an inch in length. You can faintly detect it when he has his summer coat.

Thanks, that's reassuring.

Poor little girl, that must be painful, although dogs are very resilient. I remember a dog coming into the surgery when I was in there alone, vet out on visit and a woman came in with the side of her dog ripped off, torn on a fence, dog didn't seem to care, owner shocked and I had to pretend to be completely calm!!!!

Animals are also initially unresponsive due to shock...they can seem unaffected when they’re really in a shut down, frozen kind of state.
I think she has been a bit like this, poor sweetheart, although it's difficult to tell how much is due to the anaesthetic. I've seen her shut down like this before when she's been really poorly and frightened, so I'm less worried this time, but I still can't wait to get my funny, gentle, happy and playful girl back.

It looks as if it’s been repaired well and is healing nicely. Did the police suggest that you took any photos of the original wound? The rest will help it to heal, but I hope GGJ’s more bouncy soon. :thelambiesarecoming:
