@Emily Hunter has just been stung by a wasp. It’s absolutely chucking it down here. I’ve just nipped him down our lane which is like a river, went over to my aunties with the post and while he was sitting on her step like an island because our back yard is quite flooded he suddenly started kicking his back right leg. I spotted a wasp just below his hock joint and flicked it off. I think it had stung him as he wasn’t putting full weight on that foot however he then went racing round the garden with a bamboo leaf and is now busy licking everywhere but that leg to dry himself. In 28 years none of my dogs have been stung to my knowledge. Do I need to do anything as it doesn’t seem to be bothering him very much and I think he’s standing on it properly now 10 minutes or so later ? The wasp is no longer a problem by the way. It will not be stinging again
although what it was doing out in this rain I don’t know. Maybe sheltering under the door frame.
that must have been painful for her, I guess that was the chewing - great thinking on the muzzle. Glad she’s feeling better now, darling Ella - I do love her.
