Oh her little face 🥺 that must have been painful for her, I guess that was the chewing - great thinking on the muzzle. Glad she’s feeling better now, darling Ella - I do love her.

Oh poor girl ❤
Glad it's settling.

With our odd weather over here I have noticed a lot of bees in the last few weeks which I hadn't expected. Maybe last couple of frosty mornings will have done for them.

Aw poor girl, I wonder if it was burning. I have only ever been stung once but it was last fall except it was a wasp, but the burning was unreal 😖. Glad she’s feeling better now!

I’m glad Ella is ok. Coincidence @Emily Hunter has just been stung by a wasp. It’s absolutely chucking it down here. I’ve just nipped him down our lane which is like a river, went over to my aunties with the post and while he was sitting on her step like an island because our back yard is quite flooded he suddenly started kicking his back right leg. I spotted a wasp just below his hock joint and flicked it off. I think it had stung him as he wasn’t putting full weight on that foot however he then went racing round the garden with a bamboo leaf and is now busy licking everywhere but that leg to dry himself. In 28 years none of my dogs have been stung to my knowledge. Do I need to do anything as it doesn’t seem to be bothering him very much and I think he’s standing on it properly now 10 minutes or so later ? The wasp is no longer a problem by the way. It will not be stinging again :punch: although what it was doing out in this rain I don’t know. Maybe sheltering under the door frame.

Poor Hunter! I'd keep an eye on it, but if it's not bothering him it should be fine. If it's swollen you can put a cold pack on it?

@HAH thank you. It’s well over an hour since it happened now and doesn’t seem to be bothering him. I checked it for swelling and he didn’t react to me giving it a bit of pressure so :fingers:
I think the biggest risk is in sensitive areas like soft tissue and moist areas (eurgh!) such as mouth, throat and eyes - in those places, swelling and irritation can cause severe complications like closing airways so need prompt action.
