Can’t catch a break

She has an ultrasound confirmed for 4pm today. She has eaten and the nausea seems to have gone (could be the anti-nausea shot though). The pain seems higher up in the tummy than where her surgery took place, but it's all speculation at this point and we have to wait for the ultrasound. The main thing is that she is not worsening. OH is flipping out that she can no longer go off leash, because he thinks this is because we let her go back to normal too soon after surgery and he wants no running or possibly eating anything on walks ever again. Last time she was sick he tried to throw out all the treats and kibble in the house in case they were tainted...so hopefully he calms down once we have some answers.

Just to reassure you. OH is still adamant that Mas has to wear a muzzle when he goes out anywhere that other dogs have been or food... plus we have to wash each and every paw if he so much as goes into the garden.

He has still also refused to give him back any of his toys until he has boil washed them 🙄

I am so sorry, I can understand the stress and worry you must be under when you have been through the trauma of the corn on the cob husk and now this on top of it. Thinking of you as we all are and wishing for the best outcome as quickly as possible.

Thinking of you here too. I hope the ultrasound has helped with the diagnosis.

I felt the same about muzzling Tuppence because of her scavenging, particularly when she nearly ckoked afer gulping down a whole apple rather than dropping it. She hates anything on her head, though, so it’s just not practical.

I do hope you get that ultrasound done asap, so worrying for you all. Just deal with today for now, we all have different coping mechanisms especially OHs it seems. Mine just goes quiet and moody.
