Latest update: Quinn has no appetite, likely because she is on a fairly high dose of pain meds. There is quite a bit of fluid being drained, which is being looked at under microscope several times a day to check for further infection. It's not uncommon to have a lot of fluid the first 24 hours. The next steps is to reduce pain meds and try and get her to eat; we can visit and also bring foods to try and encourage eating. If not, she will have to get a tube up her nose to ensure she is getting nutrition. We are planning to visit tonight if we can find a time that works for the vet rounds, if not tomorrow. Earliest discharge if all goes well is now Sunday.
They report she has been wagging her tail - so she must like someone there!
