Charlie Beagle 🌈

We searched for two and a half hours and could hear other people calling 'Charlie ' all around the valley. On our way home we met Jonny, who was setting off on yet another search. People are thinking that either he's got himself stuck somewhere or else he's been stolen as he knows his way around and would surely have found his way home by now. There is CCTV around the area where he took off after the deer and someone has suggested that Jonny should ask to have a look at it to see if it gives any clues as to what's happened.

Charlie might be scared now of all the people calling him. Has Jonny left an item of his clothing at the place he last saw Charlie? I am sure that has been done, but just in case.

Some possible sightings near Hebden Bridge, but the description doesn't sound much like a Beagle to me.( Black and tan, wire haired) Another member of the Find Charlie Beagle group has shared a post from another dog owner who was reunited with a dog that had been missing for 13 days, to encourage us not to give up. I walked Joy and Keir today for three hours around places he might have been, saw two Beagles, neither of them Charlie. There are also posters out for a Collie who has been missing since the 27th of December, a couple of miles up the towpath from where Charlie was last seen. What is encouraging is that pretty much every dog walking person we met is aware of both missing dogs and is looking out for them. A cyclist also stopped and said to me 'Are you alright?', which I thought was a bit strange. I said 'Yes thanks, are you?' He replied 'I am, but my friend isn't ' (which I also thought was strange) I said 'I'm sorry to hear that, what's the matter with him?' 'He's lost his dog' he said. I asked what sort of dog and he replied 'A Beagle' 'Is that Charlie?' I said. 'Oh, so you know about him' he said, 'I just want to make sure that everyone does.' So the word is being spread very thoroughly and we'll all keep looking.
