Doggy brags

Went to a gundog class, dummy launcher used, dummy ball disappeared out of sight into a large dip and it was thought that it had gone even further to a far hedge. First dog sent, hunted around and in places where it couldn't be as we saw him, second dog sent, couldn't find it, third dog sent, couldn't find it. Then Rourke sent, disappeared for what seemed ages and then came back with it :giggle:

That's a big step! Clever girl Red.

My brag is that Chewie chose to lie on the sofa while a plumber installed our fridge and laundry appliances... (Until a few more people arrived and he went a bit bonkers...) But still! This is a lot for captain crazy pants.
Any tips? We had the electrician here yesterday and you'd think he was an axe murderer. Maxx has a massive bark and boy did he go off....the electrician is a dog person thankfully and at one stage Maxx had his arm in his mouth

GGJ will similarly never ever leave a thing that needs retrieving unfound. It's not something that I've trained her to do, it's just completely in her, 'Find it' is her absolute favourite game. I often throw a ball for her in a way that makes it difficult to find and she has never once failed to retrieve it, tail going nineteen to the dozen every time. A week ago I misthrew a ball quite badly. I thought 'That's too difficult, she'll never find that.' then I timed her. Eight minutes was all it took! It was a really difficult retrieve too. I was so pleased with her.!

That's great, well done Homer. Very smart boy for sure!:clap:

What does this mean?
The trail he followed was more than an hour old. Usually he would follow a trail only a couple of minutes old. The person who he went to find walked the trail at the beginning of the session then Homer went to find them at the end of the session over an hour later. They were able to leave their post, have a cup of tea and cake before going back to the spot.
