My niece’s springer, Bryn, was seven today so we went to his birthday party.

I got him down without using treats or a toy or looking at him or speaking to him.

I was really proud of Echo today. We were on a free run round the reservoir, we came up the track from the ‘beach’ and came face to face with a horse and rider. Echo just stood and awaited instructions, I called him back and popped his lead on - lots of treats! The horse rider complimented him.

My niece is starting a healthy doggy birthday cake business (watch this space!) Here are Echo and Tatze working hard in the quality control department.
