Echo - Guide Dog

Oh wow! Just gorgeous!!! Tatze is the most incredible host welcoming a new puppy into her home like that. She is just wonderful. You must feel so proud.

I once fell down the stairs holding puppy Snowie. Taking him out in the middle of the night for a wee. In the dark. Didn’t realize there was still the last step. Clearly sleep deprived. Fell forward thud onto the mat at the bottom of the stairs. Never let Snowie go!!! And managed not to fall on him. instinct override. It was sore. But only for me I presume! If he were in a carrier bag, I guess I would not have had such control over where he would’ve fallen?

We’re back - of course, he lapped up all the admiration and had a good explore of the building. We tried a little indoor lead walk and he was fine - he didn’t really notice the lead as everything was far too interesting.

I came away with art homework which I shall have a go at - a watercolour barn owl.

He slept all night - hurrah! 10pm to 6:45am. I needed a wee in the night (TMI!) but didn’t go as I didn’t want to wake him up; he’s training my bladder as much as I’m training his! :giggl:

He follows Tatze around and lies next to her but has never jumped on her or used his teeth to play with her - I don’t know if she’s relieved or confused!

He’s hungry all the time even ‘tho he’s put on 2Kg in a week. I dare not up his food yet or he’ll be a little barrel! His second breakfast is at 11am and he’s now sitting by the food cupboard looking at me appealingly.

I’m off to Pilates soon and Mr Boogs is on puppy duty for the morning.
