I woke up this morning and Echo’s face is swollen, especially his eye but there are other lumps too. :(

He hasn’t been near anything that I could think of which might cause this reaction.:(

We have a vets appointment at 10am.

I’m back from the vet and he’s given him a steroid injection and piriton tablets for 48 hours. The vet found hives on his tummy too. I’ve no idea what could have caused it, he’s not been anywhere different or eaten anything different.

Hopefully it’s just a one-off.

His swellings are already going down, bless him.

Oh no! You’ll remember I had similar with Willow and Luna last spring. One thing I would check on is if you have processionary caterpillars in your area, and whether they’ve started coming down from their nests yet. They’re awful things, spreading throughout the UK now and can cause this sort of reaction - and a lot worse.

Goodness - yes, I’ll check. The vet has advised not going to the same reservoir for a while.
