I'm always surprised how big GR s are compared to Cassie, who is not a small Labrador. We had 2 retrievers during the course of my growing up and don't recall them being the size of the ones a see these days. All in my memory of course!

I am so pleased. This lunchtime we had a proper, normal free run. I was relaxed and so was Echo. His recall was 100% (see the video) and he walked past dogs on leads with no dancing round them or asking them to play. He said ‘hello’ nicely to the humans who said hello to him - and ignored those who didn’t. He ran, galloped, hoolied and sniffed.

It‘s the first time I’ve enjoyed a free run with him. His work walks have been good for a long time, but free runs, up till now, have been stressful affairs!
