Finn

All of a sudden Finn got a large bold spot on his hip. This morning it wasn't there, this afternoon it was good to see and rather large. It is round, not itchy. I cleaned it and put some vetramil on it. Gave hime his coat so that Odin couldn't touch it. Gave him advantix against flees or other (Odin too offcourse)
We will watch it and when it becomes worse an appointment with the vet. He is also drinking more then usual, could it be hormonal? Hotspot without itch.....?
He is his old self, just the drinking more is obvious... Here a picture of it

That looks like he’s been nibbling it. Same what Snowie does. I’d wash it with Bioscrub and keep it clean and dry. And put on an antiseptic and a barrier cream (like Sudocrem). It can grow as he nibbles more. He might have pain in the area—arthritis? Or it was just an itchy spot that he nibbled.

Ella once had a bald spot that was a result of a fungal infection. I think the hair had become loose as it was attached to the scab that had formed on her skin (we hadn't realised). Then when she knocked the scab off, all of the hair came off with it.

Yes, Snowie also gets this.

It looks like it, but he can't nibble it. I think Odin had been nibbling the spot.....
We will treat it as a hotspot and see if it dissapear. Also when it deteriorate we will go and see what the vet thinks. In the mean time we will try to keep Odin clear from Finn by putting Finn's wardrobe on

We also thought about a fungus, but then you have to see some skin flakes which we don't.

How has Finn been today @Anne123
It looks like it is getting smaller. Still a big spot. He doesn't want me to clean it, I think that that hurts him. But it has to be done....I do it 2x pro day, early morning and before sleeping. After cleaning and vetramil he gets his wardrobe on and at night it is out, for Odin is sleeping on the floor in our bedroom and therefore can't touch it.

That’s good that it’s getting smaller, even slowly. Sounds like you’re taking really good care of it. ❤
