Fitbark

I've taken mine off now and will just use them for walks - I really don't like them wearing their collars 24/7. It's been interesting to see that they generally have very good sleep quality for the measured period (1am - 5am); it's very unusual for it to be below 90%.

We tend to average out about 86% which I consider good seeing as he’s asleep from 7pm most nights 😂

It was really interesting to see the twins' sleep quality change when we were away on hols. The first couple of nights, it was lower than I've ever seen it at around the 80% mark, but after the third night it went back up to the normal mid-90s. It could be important to bear in mind how this might affect behaviour during the day if they've not had the sleep they're used to. Of course, since we weren't anywhere stressful, it didn't cause us any problems, but might have done in other situations.

That's interesting.
I feel Lilly doesn't sleep soundly she is always on the alert for us moving/doing something.
And I always remember she didn't eat a rawhide chew the day she stayed at a kennel.
Got me wondering whether the fitbark could be useful in the sleep context for us.

Update: quite disappointed that W&S’s Fitbarks have both stopped working, as of about three weeks ago. They still sync with the app, but show either minimal activity (just a handful of points) or absolutely none.
I’ll send an email to the company when I have time, but I won’t be replacing them.

Definitely email them as Pepper's stopped working some months ago and they sent me a replacement free of charge. They were also keen to get the original back so they could understand what has gone wrong.

This happened to Maslows and I spoke to them on the online chat and they sent a ‘software’ update straight through to it and it started working again immediately!

I charged Shadow’s and it started working again. I had only charged it about a week prior, and it was showing as fully charged still, but I guess it had a blip. I’ve not tried Willow’s yet; I’ve removed their tick collars which is what they were attached to. I’ll probably attach them back to their walking collars in the winter when we can go on more of the longer walks again.
